IDEA Center High School

IDEA Center High School is a WASC Accredited school open to students in the Grossmont District, grades 9-12. We focus on college and career readiness through Project Based Learning. Characterized by small class sizes and an integrated curriculum infused with technology, students receive Chromebooks to take advantage of online resources, collaborate within learning communities, and develop real-world thinking skills.

Grossmont Middle College High School

Grossmont Middle College High School is a partnership of the Grossmont Union High School District and Grossmont College on the campus of Grossmont College for high school juniors and seniors. We provide a bridge from school to career utilizing real-life experiences via internships and enriched and rigorous educational opportunities. Our mission is to assist college-capable students in the successful completion of high school while concurrently completing coursework that earns college credit and meets college admission requirements.

Chaparral High School

Chaparral High School offers a unique learning opportunity that is available for students in Grossmont Union High School District. In order to maintain eligibility, students must attend school regularly, make positive progress toward their diploma, and comply with the school rules and expectations.
 

GUHSD Home Choice LogoHome Choice

Home Choice is a program specifically designed for those students and parents who choose to home school that offers more than the typical homeschooling option. Our students remain tied to their school of residence and may graduate with that site’s diploma. In addition, students have the option to be co-enrolled in their school of residence allowing them to take one or two classes on campus and participate in campus activities such as sports, band, etc.

MERIT Academy

MERIT Academy is designed to provide Special Education students with a high degree of social, emotional, and behavioral support and structure throughout each school day. The program serves students in a self-contained special day program at a separate Special Education school that specializes in the academic, social, and emotional needs of students.
 

REACH mascot REACH Academy

REACH Academy is designed for Special Education students with behavioral needs who require a self-contained special day program at a separate educational center. Reach Academy serves students with disabilities who demonstrate social and emotional needs requiring a highly structured and small campus setting with the opportunity for frequent staff contact, behavior intervention, and counseling support. Reach Academy is committed to assisting students develop the interpersonal and academic skills needed to be successful in school, the community, and the workplace.

ELITE Academy

ELITE Academy provides specialized academic and behavioral intervention services for students with moderate to severe disabilities. ELITE Academy focuses on building skills in the areas of functional academics, communication, independent living, vocational skills, and pro-social behavior.
 

Career Technical Education

Career technical education (CTE) provides students with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in future careers and develop skills they will use throughout their careers. Our District provides over 40 CTE pathways across our school sites.  
 

Grossmont Adult Education

Grossmont Adult Education classes are open to adults who are 18 years of age or older. The Adult School serves more than 50,000 students annually and provides one of the most comprehensive programs in the state. Available classes reflect the ten mandated program areas and include fee-based community education.  Additionally, the Adult School offers three apprenticeship programs, online coursework, and academic and vocational programs for all the detention facilities throughout San Diego County.
