Grossmont Union High School District

Guided by its core values of caring, collaboration, and innovation, the Grossmont Union High School District (GUHSD) exists to empower each of its students to build the best future. GUHSD provides its community with the highest-quality educational program, as well as a wide variety of athletics, fine arts, and enrichment opportunities that enhance our students’ educational experience, lift their voices, and broaden their horizons.

GUHSD high schools have been recognized as California Distinguished Schools and California Gold Ribbon Schools. They have also been ranked among “America’s Best High Schools” by U.S. News & World Report and among the Washington Post’s "Most Challenging High Schools." Each year, over 4,000 students gain hands-on industry experience and academic skills through GUHSD’s award-winning Career Technical Education program, which offers 48 career pathways across 12 in-demand industry sectors – including Engineering & Architecture, Information & Communication Technologies, and Agriculture & Natural Resources.

Serving more than 16,000 students across 465 square miles in East San Diego County, GUHSD encompasses El Cajon, Santee, Lemon Grove, most of La Mesa, parts of San Diego, and the unincorporated communities of Alpine, Dulzura, Jamul, Lakeside, and Spring Valley.
