Community Advisory Committee

Community Advisory Committee

The East County Community Advisory Committee is a partnership of parents, educators and community members from 10 East County school districts working together to promote effective special education programs. Through monthly business meetings, presentations, and community outreach, the Community Advisory Committee (CAC) supports policy development, parent education, and community involvement in matters concerning students with exceptional developmental and educational needs.

The primary function of the CAC is to advise school districts in the East County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) on matters concerning students with exceptional needs. The CAC concerns itself with the development of the Local Special Education Plan, and providing and supporting parent education. Please visit the East County SELPA CAC page for information on meeting dates and locations and for contact information.
