Class Information 2023-2024

Class Information 2023-2024

This inservice opportunity is available for extra-curricular athletic team coaches (school or walk-on), cheer advisors, and P.E. teachers. District offered CPR/First Aid Training is valid for two years from the date of inservice training. If you are a coach (school or walk-on), cheer advisor, or P.E. teacher who needs to attend CPR/First Aid training in order to remain eligible for coaching/teaching sports, please contact your Athletic VP Administrative Assistant at your school site to register for one of the training dates listed. Extended Curricular Programs does not accept registrations directly from training participants.

Athletic VP Administrative Assistants:

The District will assume the expense for participants who sign-up for and complete the training.

Individuals who sign up for the training should write a deposit check to the Grossmont Union High School District for $59.00. All checks will be returned or destroyed for those individuals who attend and complete the course. Checks for individuals who sign up for but do not attend will be sent to the Extended Curricular Programs office for deposit by the District. This procedure is needed to insure that fixed workshop costs with the CPR/First Aid provider are covered.

In order to determine the number of necessary trainers and materials, it is important that you call or email the Extended Curricular Programs office ASAP to reserve a place. Please inform all CPR/First Aid partipants of the following:
  • that their names will be added to the sign-up list at Extended Curricular Programs office only after they submit their $59.00 deposit to the Athletic VP Administrative Assistant;
  • recommend that they wear long pants to the training (or knee pads if they prefer) in order to prevent knee abrasions; and,
  • participants should bring an ink pen to fill out forms and take notes.
BREAKFAST AND LUNCH WILL BE "ON YOUR OWN".

If you have questions please feel free to contact the Extended Curricular Programs office at (619) 644-8017.

NOTE: The State of California no longer recognizes recertification . . . everyone must take the full class in order to receive a two-year certification card. The District does not accept online certification courses.
