Preparing Our Students for Their Future!

Preparing Our Students for Their Future!

Welcome to the College and Career Readiness Department’s web site. Students are considered college and career ready when they have the knowledge, skills, and academic preparation necessary to enroll and succeed in college level courses, enter and succeed in post-secondary workforce education, or enter directly into a job that offers gainful employment and career advancement. By offering high quality instruction, standards aligned curriculum, and relevant learning experiences, our goal is for for each student to leave us with multiple post-secondary options.

Throughout the following pages, you will find information on topics such as Curriculum, Career & Technical Education, Guidance Services, and Work Permits. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the information found on these pages or our programs.

“College preparedness and career readiness don't have to be an either-or trade-off. Students have proven to be more college ready when CTE and academic coursework is combined.”

- Tony Thurmond, CA State Superintendent of Public Instruction
