Xello log in button

GUHSD is now using Xello! This college and career search tool provides a place for students to take assessments about their interests, personality, and career matchmaker. Students are able to create a profile and save colleges, intended majors, careers, and individual accomplishments. Students can log in HERE using their GUHSD email account.

College Admission Testing

Spring 2021 Admissions Updates
  • The University of California System (UC) approved the suspension of the standardized test requirement (ACT/SAT) for all California freshman applicants until fall 2024 (UC Website FAQ)   
  • The California State University (CSU) will continue to temporarily suspend the use of ACT/SAT examinations in determining admission eligibility for all CSU campuses for the 2022-2023 academic year. This temporary change of admission eligibility applies for the following terms: Fall 2021, Winter 2022, Spring 2022, Fall 2022, Winter 2023 and Spring 2023 admission cycles. First-time freshmen must meet the following eligibility requirements: be a high school graduate or equivalent; complete the 15-unit comprehensive "a-g" pattern of college preparatory course; and earn a qualifying "a-g" grade point average (GPA) as described below. College Board (SAT, PSAT and AP)

Effective immediately, the College Board will discontinue SAT Subject Tests. Effective, June 2021, College Board will discontinue offering the essay component of the SAT.  Any questions about AP, SAT, or PSAT can be found on the College Board website (www.collegeboard.org) or see your school counselor.  

ACT

ACT is a College Admissions Assessment. Information can be found ACT.org

Financial Aid

FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid - Opens Oct. 1

CADAA is the California Dream Act Application - Opens Oct. 1

There are many misconceptions about the FAFSA/CADAA.
