MERIT Academy is designed to provide Special Education students with a high degree of social, emotional, and behavioral support and structure throughout each school day. The program serves students in a self-contained special day program at a separate Special Education school that specializes in the academic, social, and emotional needs of students.

MERIT Academy is an innovative program that integrates both academic and therapeutic supports to facilitate growth by embracing the uniqueness of each student. We are a collaborative, creative, cohesive team that provides a positive, fun environment where students, families, and staff can continue to develop emotionally and scholastically toward self-reliance. As students become increasingly independent and positive contributing members of their communities, they will be able to successfully transition into adulthood.
