iVIE Awards 2021 Documentary of the Year
Congratulations to Jameel Armstrong- winner of the iVIE Awards 2021 Documentary of the Year for his film “Guidance. His film focused on the challenges and victories the Valhalla Guidance Department experienced serving the Orange Nation during the pandemic. Jameel, who graduated this past week, was a standout in our TV and Film program and the Saga Network/Orange Nation TV. Jameel is the first student in the 5-year history of our program to win this prestigious award.
The iVie Awards (Innovative Video in Education) was originally started by the San Diego County Office of Education in 2001 as a region-wide film festival and has been organized by Media Arts Center San Diego since 2017. Since its inception, the film festival has evolved into a very successful film competition and receives hundreds of submissions for a variety of genres each year.
