You and Your 2-3 Year Old
Thursdays- Foothills Adult Center 9:00-12:00

There is no “one way” to parent and each child has his/her own unique personality. In our parenting class the adults work together to discuss and practice ways to increase effective parenting skills through the various stages of physical, mental, emotional and social growth of children. We will incorporate music and movement, creative art experiences, socialization skills as well as large and small muscle development skill builders into the curriculum.

You and Your 2-3 Year Old
Tuesday or Thursday Prospect Elementary School 9:00-11:30

This is a fun filled class where your child can explore Early Childhood Concepts through hands on experiences. Come join us for sensational story times, amazing arts and crafts and motor through our music and movement activities. We will explore pre math and pre reading skills and get down and dirty with science and sensory activities. Lifelong learning provides us with the open mind and information we'll need to face new challenges. Come meet other parents and share your expertise and excitement of parenting!

You and Your 3-4 Year Old

Mondays and Thursdays Foothills Adult Center 8:45-11:45

Come and join me with your 3 or 4 year old as we experience a variety of preschool activities and discuss a variety of parenting topics. We have a lot of fun as we learn and grow together. Wear comfortable clothes and be ready to enjoy good food as well. I look forward to meeting all of you.

You and Your 3-4 Year Old

You can be involved in your child's formal education right now! This is a unique opportunity to experience preschool with your child.

Your child will experience preschool in a warm, loving environment with lots of parent-teachers to help them build vocabulary, confidence and develop school readiness skills. Parents play a vital role in this class by facilitating centers that focus on Math, Science, Literacy, Writing, Sensory experiences, Dramatic Play, Arts and Crafts and more.

Lots of field trips take advantage of this wonderful age of learning through hands-on experiences. Field trips include Sea World, Pumpkin Patch, Grocery stores, parks, family nights, Mission Trails Park, 4-H Animal Fair, Library, Fire Station and more.

Discussions about parenting topics take place during the daytime class hours. One night meeting or "extra" class period is required each month.

You and Your 4-5 Year Old
_Tuesdays and Thursdays for 3/4 years olds
_Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for 4-5 year olds
Murdock Elementary School 9:00-12:00

These classes are fun filled mornings of learning through art, stories, playtime and many enrichment activities geared to get your child ready for kindergarten! An added bonus for my classes is being a partner with the elementary school. Experience learning with your children and form lasting bonds with other families in your class. If you are looking for a warm nurturing structured environment with high academic standards, this is the place for you!

Freaky Friday Science

Freaky Friday Science is for children 4 years old and older. Explore science together with your child. Have fun with explosions, observations, experiments, concoctions and much more.

Family Line Dancing –School Age children
Wednesdays Steele Canyon Adult Center 6:15-7:45 (6 sessions)

Join together with your elementary school-age child for lots of country-western dancing fun! Learn the "Canadian Stroll", "Electric Slide", "Western Electric", "Step Right Up", and "Cut A Rug". There will be lots of time for stompin', clappin' and laughin' together!

Fridays Santana Adult Center 9:00-10:30 (5 sessions)

Keep you Busy, Bouncing and Bustling!

Tiny Tot Hip Hop
Wednesdays Steele Canyon Adult Center 9:00-10:30

Get up and get moving together with your child. Tiny Tot Hip Hop is a developmentally appropriate movement class for children 2 to 3 years old. Children enjoy movement in many ways, dancing to music, using the parachute, beanbags and other props. Great class to get exercise, spend quality time with your child, develop healthy habits. Parenting topics are briefly discussed in class. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle to class.

Strategies for Organizing the College Application Process

The class involves two three-hour sessions where high school students and their parents can learn some strategies and techniques to help make the process for applying to college easier and more organized. The class discusses choosing the right university for your child, working on applications, the importance of college testing programs, the writing of essays for applications, college recommendations, and financial aid. Parents and high school students will be given many resources and materials to help them.
