WHAT THIS CLASS MEANS TO ME
JROTC has been a big part of my
life ever since I can remember. Before I ever went to High school I was
contemplating on whether or not to join JROTC because of how much my brothers
and sisters achieved in this program and they expected me to accomplish the
same thing. I’m glad I joined because I’ve developed confidence, discipline and
how to be a good leader. If it weren’t for JROTC I wouldn’t know where I would
be today. I would probably regret not joining….It’s so much fun!! (Especially
Drill Team)

many skills that will definitely help benefit me for the future. JROTC teaches
many subjects such as first aid, history, leadership, physical training, map
reading and many other useful skills. Through this program you learn life long
lessons and how to be a leader. JROTC develops leaders for the future and that
is why it is such a great program.

For all you incoming students
this is one of the best classes you can ever take in high school. You learn
many things from this course such as leadership, values, and responsibility.
This is a course you can be proud of joining and be recognized for your
efforts. Awards, promotions, inspections, academics, and physical training are
some of the things you will participate in as a member of JROTC.

JROTC has motivated me to do well
and work hard. It’s my favorite class at Mount Miguel. My family has a history
of being in JROTC. My older brother was the Deputy Battalion Commander and
attended Annapolis Naval Academy after graduation and my cousin was the drill
team commander. I am proud to be a member of this year’s Unarmed Drill Team. I
was motivated to work hard to get medals and ribbons for my efforts. I strive
to do well in everything I do as my goal is to be a higher rank than my brother
was when he graduated.

About 3 years ago, I use to my
watch my brother march with the drill team and I was instantly inspired to
join. I looked forward to do the same, but when I got to high school and
joined drill team, I learned much more than marching. I learned to be
more disciplined, confident, and responsible. The best part is I learned
these while enjoying myself not like other classes where you just sit and
listen to boring lectures. It’s different in JROTC, it is more of a hands on
class which makes JROTC the best class I’ve had and maybe ever will!

JROTC inspires me to be a better
person and leader. The instructors teach you discipline, confidence,
first aid, and a lot of other things that will help you in the future. It
can be the difference between flipping burgers, and wearing a suit and making a
lot of cash. Since my brother was in the program, it motivated me to try
harder and do as well or even better than he did. I constantly asked him
for tips on how to do things better and do better in the class so that I could
try to stay ahead of the game.

JROTC is a learning program that
teaches the younger generations skills that will get them farther in life that
they ever thought possible. The instructors have been excellent throughout
the years in encouraging and motivating young cadets into doing the things they
never thought they could do. JROTC has been a second family to me and has been
a big part of my life. It helped me to be more confident in life to reach
my goals.

Many middle school students have
trouble deciding what classes to take in High School. It is very
important to be in the classes that will help you excel in academics and help
you achieve as much as possible during you freshmen year and remaining years in
high school. I would highly recommend JROTC because of the great impact it has
had on my life and the great experience I have had. The people there have
taught me discipline and that you should never give up. When I walked
into the class on the first day it became like a second home to me. The
people involved in JROTC are really great and the instructors as well as my
fellow cadets have taught me so much during these past six months. I plan
on remaining in the program because it is fun and there is much to learn.

To me JROTC is not just a class
about saying “Yes Sir” and “No Sir”. JROTC teaches students to become
responsible, courteous, and most of all, successful. Not only has being a JROTC
cadet helped me add on to my list of leadership qualities, it has helped me
realize that everyday is the chance for you to better yourself in every aspect
of life. “Everyday is a test, ace it with flying colors,” (Jasmin Aryes). Just
remember, your heart goes to what you love the most and “Whether you think you
can or you think you can’t you’re right!”
