Preparing the WebQuest for Use

If your WebQuest has a Teacher Section, closely examine the directions and tips for use.

If your WebQuest does not have a Teacher Section you should do the following.

  • Closely examine the task. Make sure it is doable in the time you are allotting for the project.
  • Walk through the process you expect the students to complete. Identify areas that your students may have problems with, look for solutions to these problems. If you are proactive your experience will go much smoother.
  • Check all of the links, many of these projects have been sitting untouched for years. You may need to search and find more links to make the project work.

Preparing for the Lab

  • Stop by the lab the day before you intend to bring classes into it to get an accurate count as to how many computers are not working.
  • Bookmark the WebQuest site on each machine. This will save you time once you bring in your classes.
