The Task
In groups of 4-6 students will prepare
for an intellectual Medieval tournament where teams will compete to develop
the best response to specific scenarios and diasters. This Webquest has two
distinct phases
- Research - Teams will select
roles and begin to research their role using the provided links.
- Tournament - On the day of the
tournament students will use their collective knowledge on life in the Middle
Ages to respond to a series of scenarios and disasters that draw from all
of the roles. For each round, the King/Queen (teacher) will read the situation
to the class. Each team will have five minutes to develop a detailed, fact-based
response. After the answers are read to the class, the King/Queen will judge
the responses based upon historical accuracy and creativity on scale of one
to ten. The team with the most points at the end of five rounds will be declared
the winner.
