In groups of 3-4, students will research, write, and create a 5-7 minute video that depicts the human costs of the Civil War. Each group will be assigned a different topic. All information for the video will derived from information provided on this web site and other teacher provided resources. General Requirements include A detailed typed script Video must convey the impact of the Civil War on the lives of the assigned group. It should include thoughts and feelings of those who lived through this event. Commentary should be a part of your video. Please note that this video should be more of a dialogue, not an action sequence. A narrator should present the historical background to the group/role and other important factual information should be woven into the final script and presentation. Requirements as indicated in each specific group web page. Skit Requirements 5-7 minutes A narrator to set up the time period, place, explanation of the topic within the context of the Civil War, and to set up the scene. 2-3 actors/actresses to depict the scene Historical content woven into scene Relevant dialogue Action sequences should be limited and should appropriate to the topic
