The Civil War impacted the United States like no other war. It is the only war since the American Revolution that was fought on American soil. It pitted brother against brother and saw some of the bloodiest battles in American history. Much time is spent examining the causes and the course of the war, but little time is spent on the human costs.

Over the next week, you and your group will immerse yourselves into the lives of those who were most affected by the events which tore America apart between 1861-1865.
