 A WebQuest for 10th Grade World History
Is art a reflection of society? Throughout history, artists have created works that have been influenced by the social, economic, and political environment of the time. In some instances the art movement was so strong that it defined the era. For this project, students will select one of nine artistic movements that span the last four hundred years and investigate both the artistic movment and the historic influences on that movment and the artists living at the time. Finally, students will create an original or reproduce an exhisting work of art that will be described and presented on the day of the final listed above.
