SHIELD PROJECT
by

I found many different shield shapes and I chose this one because I liked it better than the rounder kind. I chose the red cross on the black background because red and black are my favorite colors. I also chose the red cross on the black background because I feel it brings out the four quarters in the middle. I chose the swords crossing in the center, because my sister came up with the idea. The swords represent to me justice and honor. The eye on the sword represents to me a keen sense of sight. The spear in the second quarter represents to me honorable warrior, valiant knight. The wheel in the first quarter represents to me fortune and my love of cars. The battle-ax in the first and third quarters is a symbol of the execution of military duty. The bow and arrow in the third and fourth quarters symbolizes readiness for battle. The sun in the fourth quarter represents to me glory, splendor, and eternal life. The snake in the third and fourth quarters represents my love for snakes and represents to me quickness. I code the patterns on the sword's handles in the first and second quarters because they are like the plastic bound around the handle for the grip. This shield as a whole represents to me courage.
