Shield Project
by Jason

My shield is decorated with many colors and symbols each representing either someone in my family or myself. Each symbol means a lot to my family and me; I have personally asked each one of them to choose an emblem (symbol) that best fits them or their personality.

The yellow on it is representing gold which is generosity that my parents show to me, the blue is the truth and loyalty I show to my parents, the red and black are colors just thrown on their to give it life, they do not represent anything.

To get to the symbols now, first of the flaming heart shows the love that my parents have for each other for the 30 years that they have been married. The tree trunk represents my brother and how he is starting a new life with his children (my niece and nephew) and his wife. The camel represents me and the devotion that I have gave to everything that I have ever done, my schoolwork, sports and time that I have spent with my family and friends. The sword represents everyone in my family, it shows that their hard work has paid off and is going to pay off for some so that they can do what they want. The baseball and bat in the middle funny enough represents all of the time that my mom has spent with me at the baseball games, at my games and when I have bad times in sports and how she is always in the middle and rooting for me in anything that ever do. Finally the baseballs that are at the top of the shield represent all of the time that me and my father have spent practicing baseball, watching it, studying it, figuring out the best ways to do things. Overall this shield is a piece of my family and everything that they have done or anything that they are planning on doing!
