Assignment: Students write a poem or a letter from the front as if they are a soldier in World War I. Students reacted to A Soldier's Life PowerPoint presentation, a reading from Johnny Got His Gun, and poetry from the war (including Wilfred Owen's Dulce Et Decorum Est and John McCrae's In Flander's Fields). Students have the option to publish their work online.
