Description:
A two day presentation that depicts the life of
a foot soldier in World War I. Images of individual
soldiers, conditions at the front, and the tragedy
of wartime casualties have a profound impact on
students and their sterilized, glamorized view of
violence and war.
In
addition to the PowerPoint presentation, a WWI
Poetry activity has also been included. This
activity is to be done after the presentation.
Students read and analyze poetry by WWI soldiers
and then write their own poem or a letter home.
