Students must be added manually. Student can either sign up first and then be added by instructor simply added by instructor (who then must fill out information form).
Students can enroll themselves. Administrator can set enrollment to be automatic or instructor-confirmed. Students had to establish their own account.

The burden of enrolling in the class is placed upon the students themselves. They must fill out the required information. The instructor can accept all enrollments or change the configuration to confirm each student's enrollment.
