Downloads

Downloadable files can be added to any of the content sections. This is a plus because if a download is required the file download link is located with the lesson directions.

A separate downloads module can be added. By default, the files are not housed within PostNuke, but via a link to a different folder or server. This does allow for good organization and easy access to files, but could be inconvenient if students must navigate to the downloads section from the lesson description. A way around this problem is to add a link to the downloadable file from within the lesson or content page.

Advantage: BlackBoard

Being able to place a downloadable document with or instead of an assignment is great and much simpler then having to navigate to a different part of the LMS or uploading the document independently to another part of the server and then linking it.
