Cal-SAFE/Child Development Center
Mission
The mission of the Grossmont Child Development Center is to provide quality care to children in a healthy, safe, and nurturing environment.
We provide the chance for teen parents to graduate from the Grossmont Union High School District and prepare for employment and/or post secondary education.
Philosophy
The Grossmont Union High School District Child Development program was established as a service to families and children of our community. The philosophy of the Infant/Toddler Programs is based on the belief that each student and child is a worthy individual endowed with certain unique capacities and talents.
We, at the Child Development Center, provide a safe and fun environment in which learning is encouraged through play. Our classrooms are warm and loving with a well trained staff that encourages the progress of each child at their own pace. We provide a creative surrounding that stimulates each child’s development through physical, social, emotional and intellectual activities. Our belief is that the relationship between child and parent is a vital part of their development. We provide necessary resources for parents to strengthen this bond. The staff of the Child Development Center is the heart and soul of our philosophy.
