Mount Miguel High School Veteran's Day Ceremony
Grossmont Union High School District intends to apply for the 21st Century High School After School Safety and Enrichment for Teens (ASSETs) Program Grant.
The purpose of the ASSETs program grant is to establish or expand community learning centers that provide students with academic enrichment opportunities, and activities designed to complement the students’ regular academic program and assist students in passing the California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE). Community learning centers will also offer literacy and related educational development services to the families of these students. The community learning centers will help working parents by providing a safe environment for students during nonschool hours or periods when school is not in session. Currently, three high schools are eligible to receive these grant funds: El Cajon Valley, Monte Vista and Mount Miguel. Other high schools may be qualified for these grant funds, subject to state eligibility criteria.
