Categorical Programs and Grants

The Grossmont Union High School District has a master plan for all students to ensure a quality education. Categorical programs are supplemental programs and activities that give students extended enrichment opportunities to successfully complete their high school education. These programs are supported by state and federal dollars and are designated for specific groups. The Categorical Programs office is responsible for implementing these programs, determining their effectiveness and monitoring their budgets.

The Grossmont District is also actively involved in obtaining government and private grants to supplement resources in order to provide more opportunities for students and their families. In addition, these grants also support technology and professional development for staff. The contact person for information regarding grants is Ray Teran. For more information, visit the Current Grant Opportunities page or contact Ray Teran.
