In visiting our schools and communities during the past five weeks, I am reminded of the talent, dedication and caring of our principals, administrators, classified staff and teachers. I have seen programs that intervene in the lives of students and families, other programs that enrich and still others that prepare students for college and careers. Wherever I have gone, I've found individuals eager to make a difference in the lives of our students.

That is essentially the essence of the holiday season – that of giving of one’s self for others. Our schools' staff do that every day.

On behalf of the Board of Education, myself and the entire administrative staff, I want to thank you for your dedication to the children of Grossmont and to wish you and your families the most joyful of holiday seasons and a Happy New Year.
