Monte Vista Staff Send Care Packages to
Campus Supervisor Blake Lubic and his fellow Soldiers

Staff members at Monte Vista High School show their support to Campus Supervisor Blake Lubic and his fellow soldiers by donating and assembling 22 care packages, which were sent to them in Rhamadi, Iraq. A member of the Marine Reserves, Blake was called to active duty in December 2007 and is now attached to a Surgical Company. Blake Lubic was a Monte Vista High School graduate of the Class of 2002 and served his fellow students as a class officer.

Blake wrote an email to thank the Monte Vista staff via classified staff member Maribeth Bostick, who worked to organize the care packages. Blake's email and the photo he sent of his unit are included below. The staff at Monte Vista say they "are very proud of Blake."

Ms. B,

We started to get some of the packages. They are awesome. We took what we needed and are using the rest on the patients that we get. The reason is when we receive a patient we cut all of their clothes off. Then if they have to go to a higher echelon of care they don' t have anything to take with them. So we try and sent them with as much clothes and hygiene gear as we can. Everyone here is very thankful for the boxes. Tell everyone thank you. Here is a picture of everyone at the hospital.
