William Rodriguez
Subjects taught: Spanish for Healthcare Workers

Mr. Rodriguez was born in Bogota, Colombia, South America, and immigrated to the United States at the age of 17. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Fine Arts from the State University of New York, after which he served a term with the U.S. Navy, working as a radioman in San Diego.

A man of many talents, Mr. Rodriguez is an artist, with a passion for art and painting. He has worked in retail as a salesman and now owns his own real estate business. He has taught in a middle school and now teaches Hot Latin Dance at Santana Adult Center and Spanish at both Foothills Adult Center and Health Occupations Center.

Mr. Rodriguez has three grown children. One son is a space engineer in the U.S. Air Force; another is being trained as a Marine Electrician; and his daughter is pursuing a career as a veterinarian.

Mr. Rodriguez enjoys running, walking, camping, the outdoors, painting and, of course, dancing! His philosophy of life is, “Be thankful, do your best in everything and don’t worry – enjoy the moment.”
