Health Occupations Center Instructors/Lorraine Florentine

Ms. Florentine works with first semester VN students in a long-term care setting. Prior to her employment at HOC, Ms. Florentine worked for twelve years as a nurse at San Diego Veterans' Hospital, where she worked with patients in both long-term and acute care areas, including oncology, AIDS, cardiac care, diabetics, psych/substance abuse, end-stage terminal, and dementia.

Ms. Florentine is a graduate of HOC's Vocational Nursing and Nurse Refresher/Reentry programs. She brings to her clinical teaching assignment a positive attitude, sense of humor, organizational skills, professionalism, and many years of experience as a nurse.
