Health Occupations Center Instructors/Barbara Brock

Ms. Brock started her nursing career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse after graduating with Grossmont Health Occupations Center’s VN class 39. As many of our graduates do, she immediately continued her education by becoming a Registered Nurse, attending Grossmont College where she obtained an Associate Degree in Nursing. She returned to school after taking ten years off, attending the University of Phoenix, where she completed both her Bachelor’s (2005) and Master’s (2006) Degrees in Nursing .

Ms. Brock has now worked as a nurse for 20 years, mostly in home care, medical/surgical and oncology. She joined the HOC staff as a VN clinical instructor in 2005. The next year, she became a full-time instructor.

A San Diego native, Ms. Brock enjoys spending time with her family and playing softball. She loves being outdoors and traveling.
