Continuing Education Classes

EMT Refresher
EMTs – this 24 hours of EMT Refresher training, is approved by the County of San Diego Division of EMS, (provider number 37-0503). Instruction focuses on: assessment of medical and trauma patients; airway and breathing emergencies; AED; circulatory emergencies; neurological emergencies, soft tissue emergencies; musculo-skeletal emergencies and obstetrical emergencies.


Intravenous Therapy

RNs and LVNs - get up-to-date information and techniques to draw blood samples for lab testing, initiate IV therapy and provide care for clients with intravenous access. Course is approved for 30 contact hours for LVNs and 4 contact hours for RNs.


Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Prepare for ACLS testing and enhance your ability to manage a cardiac emergency. Appropriate for RNs, LVNs, MDs, EMTs, Paramedics and other medical professionals. Course is approved for 21 contact hours for RNs and LVNs.

Understanding Cardiac Arrhythmias (EKG)
Learn basic interpretation of EKGs and the treatment of arrhythmias. This class provides excellent preparation for ACLS and for those interested in working in telemetry. It is open to all medical professionals. Course is approved for 21 contact hours for RNs and LVNs.


Continuing Education for CNAs

Do you need to renew your CNA license? Earn credits as you learn about a variety of issues affecting your clients, including: calming aggressive patients; depression; reducing job-related stress; alzheimer’s and other diseases affecting the elderly; and helping the aged adjust to a new environment. You may choose to attend any combination of classes of interest to you. You will receive a schedule of topics and dates offered when you register. Each hour of instruction is equal to one CEU.
