English as a Second Language classes
are for students who want to learn or improve their oral,
reading and writing skills so they can function more effectively
in American society. English as a Second Language classes
are offered throughout the school year and provided at many
sites.

Beginning Literacy to Intermediate/Advanced
Levels of instruction

Distance Learning
program-

ESL Beginning to Intermediate and
Citizenship preparation. Students take home video/DVD
series of instruction and homework packets to complete
each week. A weekly meeting with teacher and new homework
available.

Spanish GED-
|
Standard instruction in Spanish
for GED preparation. All five areas of the GED are practiced
and instruction is provided on how to take the exam and
pass.

CBET (Community
Based English Tutoring)-
|
ESL classes offered at various
elementary school sites. This program is for students
that have children enrolled in elementary school. The
ESL class will focus on ESL instruction and skills necessary
to tutor your child or other children in English.

EL Civics instruction-
|
Classes designed to provide information
and practice in various community and civic responsibilities.
A series of assessment tasks are performed by the students
that will assist the student in participating in civic
requirements.
