These individual programs are delivered at the student’s school of residence where students, families, school staff, and agencies work together to plan and provide a set of activities and services that are:
 
Designed for students with disabilities who have not received a high school diploma and are within ages 18-22. 
Our programs are:

Designed for young adults who are able to self-transport in their community:

WorkAbility I (WA) and Transition Partnership Project (TPP) are statewide collaborative programs of the California Department of Education, the State Department of Rehabilitation (DOR), and Grossmont Union High School District. 

Designed to provide pre-employment education, employment placement, and follow up services for high school students who participate in special education, and to connect students to DOR through the TPP program. TPP services may continue for one year from the high school exit date.

Services provided by SECC may include:

  • Assessments (career, learning style, soft skills, etc.)
  • Career education
  • Job seeking skills
  • Paid work experience with a community business partner
  • Independent living skills
  • Work Experience Curriculum & Work Trainings 
  • Special Education Dances, 4 per year
